Materials Needed

  • Yarn: Double Knitting (DK) weight yarn of your choice (available in our yarn section)

  • Needles:

    • 1 pair of 4.00mm knitting needles (UK 8 / US 6) or a 100cm circular needle

    • 1 pair of 3.25mm knitting needles (UK 10 / US 3) or a 100cm circular needle

  • Accessories:

    • Cable needle

    • Stitch holders

    • Tapestry needle for joining seams and finishing

Yarn requirements based on standard 100g balls of Double Knitting (DK) yarn (approx. 280–300m per 100g):

  • Style 1 (Cable Tabbard):

    • 30/32 in: 5 x 100g balls

    • 34/36 in: 5 x 100g balls

    • 38/40 in: 6 x 100g balls

    • 42/44 in: 6 x 100g balls

  • Style 2 (Textured Tabbard):

    • 30/32 in: 5 x 100g balls

    • 34/36 in: 5 x 100g balls

    • 38/40 in: 6 x 100g balls

    • 42/44 in: 6 x 100g balls
